The first people you have contact with before any event are the fine folks in Registration. They are usually located in a spot close to the entrance of the event in, for example, a trailer, in the case of a temporary course like Solo I, II, or rally, or a more permanent structure like 'the shack' at Lime Rock race course. Here is where you register with the club to get your 'Officials' credentials that allow you access to the circuit in order to perform the specialty you have chosen. It is where the drivers, owners, sponsors, VIP's, and crew all have to come to get in. Here you sign in, pick up your passes, your parking permit, and, sometimes, even a 'thank you' goody for volunteering. The folks that staff   registration and the chief of registration have already done hours of preparation, filing, organizing, and assembling needed to help an event run smoothly right from the start. In addition to handling the people that have pre-registered they also take care of last minute problems that will always pop up. And they do it with a friendly smile and a cheerful attitude that is the first contact that most people have with our club at an event.
